foreclosures in fat times

(5)

february
death of a brother
standards of living
plunging
public projects
tax affluence
orphaned sources
copper arsenic
wealth is clutter
the year of our lord

words of guilt
spaghetti dinner
stove rings
marked on skin forever
longer than my solace

in times of destitution
they cannot confute
stretching out for miles
nothing
we have that in common

these are times of plenty
industrial recovery
the riches sprinkled
undivided
surfacing to god
